Role : Windows Migration Engineer
Experience : 8+ Years
Location : Sydney
Essential Criteria :
- Strong experience in handling Microsoft Windows 2016, 2019, 2022
- Strong experience in managing VMware ESXi versions, VMware SRM/Live Site Recovery
- Experience in HPE Zerto is preferred
- Develop detailed migration design documents, including architecture diagrams, migration runbooks, risk assessments, and rollback plans.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather technical requirements, define migration windows, and coordinate cutover activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across Windows and VMware platforms during migration activities.
- Conduct pre-migration assessments and post-migration validation to ensure system integrity and performance.
- Proven experience with datacentre migrations, specifically P2P and P2V methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server environments, virtualisation concepts, and VMware technologies.
- Demonstrated understanding of storage systems (SAN, NAS), networking fundamentals (routing, switching, VLANs), and security best practices (firewalls, access controls, encryption).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear migration design documents and reports.
