Role : Linux Migration Engineer
Experience : 8+ Years
Location : Sydney
Essential Criteria :
- Proven experience in Linux systems administration and engineering, with a focus on datacentre migrations.
- Strong experience in handling Linux Operating System RHEL, CentOS
- Migration Planning & Execution: Develop and execute migration plans for datacentre workloads, including P2P and P2V migrations, leveraging HPE Zerto, VMware SRM, and native tools.
- Design Documentation: Prepare comprehensive migration design documents outlining architecture, processes, risk mitigation, and rollback strategies
- Working experience with HPE Zerto and VMware SRM migration tools preferred.
- Solid understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, DAS), volume management, and backup solutions.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and firewall configuration.
- Familiarity with security best practices for datacentre environments, including encryption, access control, and vulnerability management.
- Experience preparing detailed migration design documents and runbooks.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues under pressure.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Flexible to work after hours to cater to application migration
