Darwin Northern Territory Australia Neptune Holding Group Pty Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

At Neptune Holding Group (NHG), our mission is straightforward: to protect Australian communities with veterans leading the way. We deliver leading security and safety solutions across the Northern Territory, combining operational excellence with a people-focused leadership approach.

We are seeking a proactive and capable Contract Manager to lead the on-site team at one of Darwin's largest shopping centres and ensure exceptional service delivery. This is a hands-on role — we need someone prepared to roll up their sleeves, work alongside their team, and set the standard through strong, visible leadership. You will oversee daily operations, maintain strong client relationships, and support the ongoing development of our staff.

The Role

As the Contract Manager, you will manage the successful delivery of NHG's security services at a major Darwin shopping centre. You will lead a team of approximately 25–30 security officers, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, workplace safety standards, and NHG's policies and values.

You will be the primary point of contact for the client, working closely with their management team to achieve shared objectives and uphold excellent service standards. Internally, you'll work closely with NHG's Head of Group Operations and the scheduling team to ensure effective rostering, workforce planning, and coverage. The role also requires confidence with reporting, systems, and technology, ensuring that data, documentation, and operational updates are accurate and timely.

This position suits a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong operational awareness, and is committed to supporting both client satisfaction and staff engagement. Above all, you must be willing to step in, work side by side with your team, and lead from the front.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Management and Compliance

Ensure all contractual obligations for the Darwin shopping centre are delivered in line with KPIs and service expectations.

Monitor and maintain compliance with safety, licensing, and regulatory requirements.

Complete operational reporting, incident summaries, and contract documentation accurately and on time.

Team Leadership and People Management

Lead, mentor, and support a team of 25–30 security officers.

Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing staff performance development.

Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with NHG's vision, mission, and values.

Work directly alongside the team to support operations, model expectations, and build capability.

Rostering, Workforce Planning, and Systems

Manage and oversee rostering of staff in partnership with NHG's scheduling team.

Ensure effective workforce allocation that meets operational requirements and budget expectations.

Utilise NHG systems (e.g., Guardhouse, reporting tools, internal platforms) to maintain accurate data, logs, and operational updates.

Identify and recommend system or process improvements where appropriate.

Stakeholder Engagement

Act as the primary liaison with the shopping centre's management team.

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Communicate operational updates, challenges, and improvements clearly and professionally.

Problem Solving and Incident Management

Respond promptly to operational challenges, incidents, and client concerns.

Provide leadership during incidents and support staff in managing complex situations.

Implement practical solutions that minimise disruption and maintain service standards.

About You

Experience in contract management, site management, or a similar operational leadership role (security industry experience highly regarded).

Strong understanding of compliance, WHS, and regulatory requirements.

Demonstrated experience leading teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Hands-on approach — comfortable stepping in to support frontline operations when required.

Confident using operational systems (e.g., rostering platforms, reporting tools, incident management systems).

Strong reporting, documentation, and communication skills.

Skilled in rostering, workforce planning, and budget management.

Proactive, solutions-focused, and confident in handling complex or high-pressure situations.

Why You'll Love This Role

Leadership opportunity: Take ownership of one of Darwin's most significant security contracts.

Career growth: Be part of a growing organisation with opportunities for advancement.

Supportive team: Work alongside experienced leaders and a dedicated operations group.

Impactful work: Play a vital role in the safety and security of one of the NT's busiest retail centres.

Professional development: Access training, mentoring, and ongoing leadership support.
