Job DescriptionDue to an internal promotion, we're seeking an Architecture Team Lead to lead our high performing team across NSW & ACT within a global, multi-disciplinary organisation. This is a rare opportunity to combine leadership, client engagement and project delivery at scale - while contributing to some of Australia's most impactful projects.
How you'll make a difference
- Lead and inspire people - build a high-performing team through coaching, development, and recognition, while fostering collaboration with our Brisbane colleagues.
- Drive project excellence - oversee the delivery of Defence and multi-sector projects (data centres, rail, energy, water, master planning, and public facilities) ensuring quality, innovation, and client satisfaction.
- Shape our pipeline - work with sector leads to win major pursuits and grow client relationships that position AECOM as a partner of choice.
- Champion technical leadership - deliver innovative and sustainable design solutions, coordinate multidisciplinary inputs and uphold the highest standards of architectural design.
- Strengthen business performance - manage resources, budgets and risk, while contributing to strategic growth and positioning of our architecture service offering.

The qualities that help you thrive
- Registered Architect with current professional registration and Defence sector experience, including knowledge of security requirements, clearance protocols and defence-specific design considerations.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of motivating, developing and growing high-performing teams, with a passion for mentoring and teaching.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects and deliver successful outcomes.
- Strategic mindset with the capability to shape and strengthen AECOM's architectural offering and market position.
