The Birria Spot (Food Truck)

Position: Food Truck Team Member (Birria Tacos & Mexican Street Food)

Location: Brisbane, QLD (Mobile Food Truck)

Employment Type: Casual / Part-Time / Full-Time (flexible depending on candidate)

Key Responsibilities

Depending on role and skills, duties may include:

Kitchen & Food Prep

  • Cook birria, tacos, and other menu items to a high standard.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene practices (temperature checks, storage, cleaning).
  • Assist with prep work (salsas, garnishes, tortillas, etc.).

Customer Service

  • Take orders with a friendly, upbeat attitude.
  • Handle payments (cash & EFTPOS).
  • Provide quick, efficient service even during busy periods.

General Operations

  • Set up and pack down the food truck for events and service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck.
  • Work as part of a small, tight-knit team to deliver great customer experiences.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous hospitality or food truck experience is a bonus (but not required we can train the right person).
  • Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a positive team player.
  • Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
  • Manual driver's license an advantage (for truck movement, not essential).
