Maintenance Fitter

Heat and Controlis a well-known leader in the design and manufacture of industrial food processing equipment.

About the Role

Working as part of a small team, you will be responsible for the installation and servicing of a wide range of food processing and packaging equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of wide range of food processing equipment.
  • Diagnosing and repairing food processing, inspection equipment and automated packaging equipment
  • Fault finding and attending breakdowns.
  • Remove, repair, replace, fit or assemble parts or components on large machinery and equipment including packaging equipment, feeders, chutes, hoppers, gearboxes, bearings, heat exchangers & processing machinery
  • Hot Work - MIG, & Stick welding skills required
  • Maintaining strict deadlines for project installations and handovers.
  • Providing customer training and support.
  • Supervising a team during installation.

About you

  • Mechanical Trade qualifications.
  • Restricted Electrical Licence/electrical circuit troubleshooting experience.
  • Strong fabrication skills (S/S TIG essential).
  • At least 5 years field support/maintenance experience
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings (AutoCAD experience advantageous)
  • A valid Australian driver license, and Australian Permanent Residency.
