The Data Insights Analyst supports internal stakeholders by transforming organisational data into actionable insights through reporting, dashboards, and ad hoc analysis. The role involves collecting, analysing, and modelling data, creating visualisations, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity. It also requires collaboration across teams, staying current with industry trends, and providing data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Some of key accountabilities include:

  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support business needs.
  • Assist in cleaning, organizing, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data.
  • Define and document business data models and queries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions.
  • Support business units and third-party tools like SmartMarket and Onesource.
  • Create data visualizations and reports to effectively communicate insights.
  • Find optimal solutions for data queries and presentation.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and insights generation.

Key to this role:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar data insights or analytics role
  • Proficient in MSSQL, Python, R, Excel, Power BI; strong ETL/ELT, data modelling, and dashboarding skills
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and clear communication across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience in a similar role in Insurance, Banking / Financial industry highly desired
