Our client is a leading national project management consultancy with a strong track record delivering education, health, commercial, and government projects. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Project Director to join their Sydney team and lead major schools infrastructure programs.

As Project Director, you will be responsible for the strategic oversight and successful delivery of large-scale, complex schools infrastructure projects. You will provide leadership across project teams, manage senior client relationships, and ensure projects are delivered within governance frameworks, on time and to budget. This role requires a strong presence with the ability to influence at executive and government levels.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic leadership and direction across major schools infrastructure programs
  • Acting as the senior client interface, building and maintaining key relationships with School Infrastructure NSW and Department of Education
  • Overseeing multiple project teams and mentoring senior staff
  • Driving governance, risk management, and reporting across complex programs
  • Ensuring delivery excellence in line with NSW Government frameworks

About you:

  • Extensive experience (12+ years) delivering education and schools infrastructure projects in NSW (essential)
  • Proven leadership experience at Project Director or equivalent level within consultancy or client-side roles
  • Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills at executive level
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or Project Management
  • Deep understanding of NSW Government procurement and governance frameworks
