Job Description:

As a result of our growth, we have a Boning Room Supervisor opportunity available. This is an exciting opportunity for accomplished professionals to join our team based at Australian Meat Group. We are seeking an energetic, positive, self-motivated, driven and passionate leader to add value and complement our team. Reporting to the Boning Room Manager, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating and monitoring boning room activities to ensure production plan is met – including overseeing staff schedule and ensuring staff are trained and assessed for the work being performed.
  • Leading production staff to ensure the highest possible yields are recovered and all KPI's associated with the Boning Room output are met.
  • Act as an advocate and champion a positive WHS culture.
  • Work in conjunction with the Boning Room Manager and QA team to ensure compliance with all quality assurance practices.
  • Assist in implementing process improvement plans to increase productivity and efficiency in the team.
  • Carry out hands-on boning activities when required.
  • Other duties as delegated by the Boning Room Manager.

Job Criteria

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Demonstrated leadership in a similar role within a processing environment.
  • Evidence of supervising or managing a primary processing boning room with export specifications.
  • The ability to train and mentor multicultural teams.
  • Understanding and previous experience with production processes and flows.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building capabilities.
  • Knowledge of Safety and WHS regulations.
  • Excellent problem solving and process improvement skills.
