About the position
The School of Allied Health, Human Services and Sport deliver a diverse portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across multiple campuses, underpinned by a strong reputation for research excellence, industry engagement, and innovation. Comprising four departments and ten disciplines, the school operates in a dynamic and complex environment requiring agile and strategic operational support.
This senior administration level position plays a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of the school's strategic and operational priorities. Working closely with the Dean, Associate Deans, and Senior Manager, the role is responsible for coordinating and executing a broad range of initiatives across teaching and learning, research, engagement, and administration. The incumbent will be expected to manage multiple concurrent tasks with shifting priorities, exercise sound judgment, and operate with a high degree of autonomy.
As a trusted advisor and operational lead, the position requires excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to synthesise complex information to drive outcomes. The role demands initiative, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with the capacity to influence and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.
The scope of work is broad and varied, encompassing all aspects of School operations. The position reports to the Senior Manager and will undertake tasks as directed by the Dean, Associate Deans, and Senior Manager, contributing to the delivery of high-impact outcomes aligned with the School's strategic plan.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- A Degree with at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience to consolidate and extend the theories and principles learned, or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, especially the capacity to work collaboratively and cooperatively in small teams.
- Demonstrated organisation and problem-solving skills, with an ability to manage several different projects concurrently.
- Demonstrated skills in research, evaluation or interpretation of data.
