An entry level position is available now for a motivated Junior Office Assistant to join Rankin Ellison Lawyers in our Newcastle team.

About the Role

In this entry-level position you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Senior Personal Assistants who will assist with your ongoing training and development.  Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Junior facilities duties;
  • Providing administrative support;
  • Relief reception and mail tasks;
  • File opening and closing;
  • Electronic and hard copy filing;
  • Copying and scanning;
  • Drafting, formatting, reviewing and preparing correspondence /documentation.

About You

  • No previous legal experience is necessary, but you will have an interest in office-based administration and/or customer service.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Adobe Pro, Excel etc) desirable.
  • Excellent touch-typing skills.
  • An ability to maintain high quality work with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, to organise workload to meet tight deadlines, and work well in a team environment.
  • Highly motivated with confidence in communication.
  • Suitable for a school leaver.
