The company

A specialist provider of UPS systems, the business delivers design, installation, commissioning and maintenance solutions, working closely with clients across critical industries. Locally based, with national reach and a reputation for quality outcomes and customer service.

The position

This senior role reports directly to the General Manager and takes ownership of the full technical spectrum. You'll lead projects, support the sales team with technical knowledge, train and mentor internal staff, and set the benchmark for quality and innovation across UPS systems.

Duties include:

  • Lead design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of UPS systems.
  • Manage complex UPS projects and provide on-site expertise when required.
  • Coordinate contractors for breakdowns and emergency responses.
  • Train and mentor internal teams, running product knowledge sessions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and best-practice standards.
  • Collaborate with the GM to shape technical strategy and business growth.

Skills & experience required:

  • Trade qualifications (Electrical Licence or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in UPS system design, installation, and maintenance is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of batteries, inverters, and electrical safety standards.
  • A desire to develop into a leadership role and to grow a team.
  • Flexible to travel occasionally for projects.
