About the Opportunity
As part of Business Law WA's Workplace Relations team, the successful candidate will work closely with senior lawyers on a range of matters, including employment law, industrial relations, and work health and safety. This role offers the opportunity to develop a strong, practical skill set while gaining exposure to complex legal issues. Exciting opportunities will also be available to expand your professional network through structured business development activities and regular networking events to assist to build and maintain your own client base.
This is a full-time, permanent position that will be based in the Perth CBD office.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle complex workplace relations matters and provide practical, client-focused solutions
- Actively participate in business development activities including regularly attending networking functions and preparation of high-quality presentations or articles to existing and prospective clients
- Collaborate effectively across various CCIWA business units
- Promote and support a strong safety culture and safe workplace practices
- Meet individual and team financial targets.
About you
This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer who has an interest in employment law and industrial relations to work exclusively in this area and learn from an experienced team at our CBD office on a full-time basis. We are seeking a strong communicator with the ability to form strong networks at all levels, possessing a collaborative and innovative mindset. Above all, you have a strong belief in supporting WA businesses, and making WA the best place to live and do business.
- Tertiary qualification in Law
- Ability to accurately interpret legislation, regulation, and rules
- Able to handle complex issues and provide practical solutions
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong legal research and drafting skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Current Drivers Licence and Current National Police Clearance
