Summary:

The Psychologist will provide counseling and mental health services to patients in the healthcare and medical industry. They will work with medical professionals to diagnose and treat patients with mental health issues, helping patients overcome emotional, behavioral, and psychological problems that may be affecting their overall health.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions with patients to address emotional, behavioral, and psychological issues.
  • Assess and diagnose patients using appropriate assessment measures.
  • Develop treatment plans and goals based on patient needs and diagnoses.
  • Work collaboratively with other medical professionals to ensure care is coordinated for patients.
  • Maintain detailed records of patient diagnoses, treatments, and progress.
  • Provide crisis intervention services to patients during times of psychological distress.
  • Conduct research on mental health issues and develop new treatment approaches.
  • Attend and participate in industry-related conferences and seminars.

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree in psychology or related field.
  • Valid state licensure to practice as a psychologist.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the mental health field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a healthcare team.
  • Knowledge of psychological assessment and treatment principles.
  • Experience conducting research and publishing articles.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and other medical technology.
