Knox Mindfulness is a holistic wellness practice located in Wantirna South, directly opposite Knox Shopping Centre. We proudly support individuals, couples, and families across the Eastern and surrounding suburbs of Melbourne.

Our boutique, custom-built practice provides a welcoming, professional, and calming environment for both clients and clinicians. Our multidisciplinary team currently offers counselling, psychology, hypnotherapy, NDIS support coordination, lymphoedema management, massage, and access to a purpose-built assessment room.

At Knox Mindfulness, we are guided by values of authenticity, collaboration, and whole-person care. We utilise evidence-based, client-centred approaches that foster emotional growth, resilience, and wellbeing.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our established multidisciplinary team.

This position can be structured flexibly to suit your professional goals, either as:


• A standalone practitioner renting a private consulting room, or


• A contractor under the Knox Mindfulness banner, on a 70/30 split arrangement – where 70% of the session fee goes to the Psychiatrist and 30% covers administration, room use, and operational support.

This is an ideal opportunity for a heart-led Psychiatrist seeking a professional yet nurturing setting to build or extend their private practice while collaborating with a cohesive, values-aligned team.

Role Description (Psychiatrist)

The Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for clients referred by internal clinicians and external networks.

Key responsibilities include:


• Conducting psychiatric assessments and reviews


• Developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with clients and other practitioners


• Prescribing and managing medication as appropriate


• Providing consultation and liaison support to the multidisciplinary team


• Engaging in collaborative care planning with psychologists, counsellors, and allied health professionals

Qualifications & Attributes


• Medical degree with Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP)


• Full registration with AHPRA


• Demonstrated experience in diagnosis and management of complex mental health presentations


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Commitment to collaborative, holistic, and client-centred care
