About The Opportunity
This role plays a key part in supporting Council's learning and development strategy by identifying training needs, coordinating corporate and compliance training, and ensuring employees maintain the skills and qualifications required for their roles. You'll also contribute to the design and delivery of employment programs, such as internships, apprenticeships, and graduate pathways, helping to build future workforce capability. The position works closely with leaders, training providers, and program partners to ensure training is targeted, effective, and aligned with both operational needs and organisational values.
About You
You will be a proactive and organised professional who brings:
- Qualifications in administration, adult education, workplace health and safety, business, or a related field (Certificate level or higher)
- Sound understanding of the Australian Qualifications Framework and competency-based training
- Experience coordinating and delivering training across a diverse workforce.
- Strong ability to interpret legislation, policies, and compliance requirements is matched by your high-level proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ideally, you will also hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) and have experience working with Registered Training Organisations and apprenticeship support networks, including contract management. Familiarity with digital learning tools and instructional design software will also be highly regarded.
