Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Workplace Health and Safety Officer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant construction site for all workers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections across all worksites.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and construction industry standards.
- Develop and implement safety procedures and policies to mitigate risks.
- Provide training and guidance to staff and contractors on safe work practices.
- Investigate and report any incidents or accidents, ensuring proper documentation and corrective actions are taken.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, and incidents.
- Stay updated on current safety laws and industry best practices.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a Workplace Health and Safety role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations.
- Relevant qualifications in workplace health and safety
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach to safety management.
