Factory Workers/Machine Operators – Plastics Manufacturing – ASAP START

We are partnering with a well-established PVC and plastics manufacturing company based in Sutherland Shire Area. Renowned for quality, innovation, and consistency, the company is expanding and seeking motivated, hands-on individuals to join the production and factory operations team.

Shift times on offer

We are preparing for a 4-days-on / 4-days-off rotating 12-hour shift schedule:

  • Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM (2 days)

  • Night Shift: 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM (2 nights)

Please note: This schedule requires full commitment. If you have significant obligations outside of work, this may not be suitable for you.

We also have Monday to Friday positions start times from 6-7am

We are currently recruiting for multiple roles across different departments. Please note that shift times and responsibilities may vary depending on the specific position and your skill set.

About the Role

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a proactive attitude. You will be supporting daily plastic fabrication, machine operation, and general factory duties in a thermoplastic processing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor extrusion, cutting, and heating equipment

  • Heat, bend, and shape PVC pipes using ovens and water tanks

  • Use of drop saws, basic bending machines, and hand tools

  • Perform general hand and production support tasks

  • Maintain clean and safe workstations in line with HSE standards

  • Record production data and complete basic production reports

  • Conduct visual quality checks and report any faults

  • Stack, label, and prepare finished products for dispatch or storage

To Be Successful, You Will Have:

  • Previous experience in plastics manufacturing, PVC production, or similar factory/warehouse environments

  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines

  • Physically fit and capable of standing for long shifts

  • Strong attention to detail and reliability

  • Comfortable working with machinery and basic tools

  • Ability to read product drawings, labels, and instructions

  • Forklift license (desirable but not essential)
