We're growing, and we need a Assistant Production Manager who can keep the donuts rolling

L.A. Donuts is looking for a hands-on, organised Assistant Production Manager to oversee daily operations in our central kitchen, ensuring consistent quality, efficiency, and output as we continue to supply Sydney with the best donuts in town.

About the Role:

As Assistant Production Manager, you will:
Plan and oversee daily and weekly production schedules
Manage and train production staff to ensure consistency and efficiency
Monitor output, wastage, and quality control
Oversee machinery and equipment maintenance schedules
Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships
Ensure food safety, OH&S, and compliance with HACCP/GMP standards
Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity
Report directly to the Owner/Operations Manager

About You:

  • Experience in food manufacturing or high-volume commercial kitchen production (donuts, bakery, or similar preferred)
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety compliance
  • Comfortable working with machinery and production equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a focus on efficiency and quality
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
