Job details:

We are currently seeking a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse (Lung) to join our dedicated team. This key role offers a valuable resource, advisory, and developmental service, addressing the clinical nursing and supportive care needs of lung cancer patients within the NHW catchment area. As a vital part of the multidisciplinary team, the nurse will facilitate patient care across various healthcare services in the region.

This role focuses on delivering primary support for patients, ensuring continuity of care, and collaborating with families, carers, and healthcare professionals. It also extends to individuals at risk of developing lung cancer, ensuring they receive the care and resources they need at every stage of their journey.

 Our Region:

  • Wangaratta has a population of approximately 30,000 and our catchment serves a community of around throughout the northeast.
  • An easy 2 ½ hours drive on the Hume freeway from Melbourne and less than an hour to Albury airport with direct flights to most of the large Australian cities.
  • We have over 11 schools including private Catholic and Anglican schooling options for pre-year 12.
  • Our region is a popular destination year-round. It boasts multiple national parks, picturesque small towns, award winning restaurants, wineries and breweries.
