Cynosure Consulting Group is seeking an Information Management professionals with 5+ years' experience in supporting a business domain to integrate management of data into an evolving enterprise data management model.

The Directorate of Estate Information System Governance (DEISG) Information Management develops and promotes Security and Estate Group (SEG) wide information management and governance in alignment with Defence Data Strategy 2.0.

Estate Data Management (EDM) is the Defence team handling quality control, modelling, extraction, uploading, and analysis of Estate Master Data. The team provides guidance, training and support for users of the Estate Data Governance Application (EDGA). The governance toolkit includes the Estate Data Dictionary (EDD), Estate Register Information Model (ERIM) and Spatial Data Management Plan (SDMP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Author information management governance frameworks to guide information practice.
  • SEG information management governance / data strategy and planning development.
  • Co-design and author organisational data governance and data architecture structures with Group stakeholders.
  • Provide information governance and management support and guidance to business teams.
  • Design and implement information governance and management activities to uplift staff data literacy.
  • Leading and directing workshops and collaborative co- design.

About You

  • Deep practical information / data governance and management experience.
  • Experience with the Defence Data Division policy and guidance environment.
  • Experience designing and implementing information governance and data management team operating models and activities.
  • Experience developing data strategy and data guidance framework documents.
  • Experience uplifting data literacy and enabling business teams in data management
  • Workshop design and facilitation.
  • Experience with stakeholder management, consultation and engagement design.
  • Experience in organisational data architecture.
  • Canberra-based, with the ability to obtain (or already holding) an Australian Government Security Clearance.

Mandatory Requirement

Due to the nature of the work, only Australian citizens eligible for a security clearance will be considered. Security clearance sponsorship is available for successful candidates.
