JOB TITLE: Country Manager - Australia
Overall Mission
As the right hand to the VP APAC Operations, the Country Manager – Australia will drive the strategic growth, profitability, and operational excellence of CRYOPDP across the Australian region. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership to deliver the company's 2030 business plan, ensuring sustainable growth, customer satisfaction, compliance, and the consistent embodiment of CRYOPDP's values and culture.
Main Contribution
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Financial Accountability
- Lead the execution of the Australian market strategy, ensuring alignment with regional and global business objectives.
- Design and evolve the local organizational structure to enable scalable, sustainable growth.
- Own full P&L accountability for the Australian business, driving:
- EBITDA performance
- Cost optimization and financial discipline
- Investment planning and ROI
- KPI tracking, forecasting, and reporting
- Lead and mentor the local and regional Finance teams to ensure financial transparency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Business Development & Sales Leadership
- Identify and capture new business opportunities while expanding the existing customer base.
- Oversee and develop the National Sales Manager, fostering a high-performing, results-driven sales team.
- Support business development initiatives, including tenders, client proposals, and local/international projects.
- Drive customer acquisition strategies, develop new service offerings, and establish strategic partnerships to grow market share.
- Operational Excellence
- Ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery and cost control across all Australian branches.
- Deliver financial performance in line with or exceeding budget expectations.
- Monitor and manage key operational metrics (KPIs) to uphold service standards and profitability.
- Optimize both fixed and variable costs through supplier negotiations and continuous process improvement.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and business continuity.
- Collaborate with global CRYOPDP offices to meet project and delivery requirements.

- Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team across the Australian organization.
- Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, and professional development initiatives.
- Promote CRYOPDP's culture, values, and performance-driven ethos.
- Create a collaborative, accountable, and positive work environment focused on results.
- Anticipate market trends and encourage innovation across business development and operations.
- Collaborate closely with DHL entities — DHL Express, DHL Global Forwarding (DGF), and DHL Supply Chain (DSC) — to drive synergies and operational excellence.
- Implement continuous EBITDA improvement initiatives and strengthen the performance culture within CRYOPDP Australia.
- Partner with the Global IT team to enhance TMS tools and digital solutions, ensuring superior client service delivery.

Profile (Experience / Education)
- 10–15 years of management experience in Logistics and Transport within a B2B environment.
- Minimum 5 years' experience with full P&L responsibility.
- Proven leadership of multi-location teams.
- Experience in time-sensitive logistics is essential; cold chain logistics experience is a strong advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
- Fluent in English (mandatory); additional language proficiency is an advantage.

- Other foreign languages are a plus
Specific Experience & Knowledge Required
- Strong financial acumen: P&L management, budgeting, forecasting.
- Excellent commercial skills — customer management and margin optimization.
- Proficient in project management and quality assurance methodologies.
- Deep understanding of international logistics, particularly airfreight.
- Experience in Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, or Clinical Trials Logistics (highly desirable).
- Knowledge of GDP and GMP standards.
