Zoos Victoria operates four landmark zoos, Healesville Sanctuary, Kyabram Fauna Park, Melbourne Zoo and Werribee Open Range Zoo. We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT professional to join our team within the Marketing, Communications & Digital Strategy department at Zoos Victoria's head office. In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting staff and optimise the use of information technology by analysing current systems, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending or implementing technology solutions that align with business goals.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Provide expert advice on organisational-wide technical infrastructure, specifically Microsoft virtualised server and core network hardware and software
  • Monitor core infrastructure system performance and troubleshoot and resolve complex issues as required
  • Research and recommend systemic improvement to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Engage with internal customers with a professional and welcoming manner to ensure their experience is positive
  • Escalate outstanding issues where appropriate to ICT colleagues or external vendors
  • Periodically assess core infrastructure system, develop technical standards and implement where appropriate

What we're looking for in the ideal candidate:

  • Graduate ICT qualifications are preferred, or relevant industry experience
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop hardware, networking, Virtualised Servers, and Firewalls
  • Extensive knowledge of effective troubleshooting approaches to continually improve corporate hardware and software
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • An ability to work effectively in a team and independently
