- Salary range: Level 4 $141,295–$156,934 inc superannuation

Invisible Partners is proud to be representing VMIA.
VMIA is the Victorian Government's insurer and risk adviser, covering hospitals, schools, emergency services, cultural institutions, and infrastructure. Its purpose is clear and compelling: building a confident, resilient Victoria through world-leading harm prevention and recovery.
Working here means more than handling claims — it means influencing outcomes that strengthen the public sector, improve safety, and ensure taxpayer dollars are used thoughtfully. It's meaningful work with a real impact on the community.
The Opportunity
This newly created role is an exciting chance to shape the future of VMIA's Claims function. As Claims Capability & Operations Partner, you'll design and embed the tools, training, and resources that lift capability, improve consistency, and support smarter, digitally enabled ways of working.
From creating onboarding programs and learning tools to leading improvement projects and trialling digital solutions, you'll have a broad remit that spans people, processes, and technology. You'll flex between strategic design and hands-on support — ensuring the Claims division is equipped to deliver timely, defensible, and client-centred services.
Why this role?
- Greenfield impact: be part of a newly established function with scope to shape direction from day one.
- Blend of strategic and practical: design system-level improvements while coaching teams and embedding new practices.
- Innovation focus: explore and trial digital and AI-enabled solutions that modernise claims.
- Learning culture: influence how capability is developed and knowledge shared across claims portfolios.
What you'll bring
You may have experience in capability uplift, learning design, operations, or continuous improvement. What matters most is that you can:
- Identify gaps and translate insights into practical, usable solutions.
- Design and deliver onboarding, training, and coaching initiatives.
- Partner with leaders and teams to establish and maintain consistent practices.
- Contribute to digital and innovation projects that improve outcomes.
- Balance resilience, adaptability, and curiosity in a dynamic environment.
How to apply
To apply, please submit your CV and a cover letter outlining your motivation and alignment with the role. We're running a short and targeted campaign, and applications will close on Friday, 3rd October 2025.
