About the role

Specsavers Ashfield is looking for passionate Optical Dispensers and Retail Assistants to join our dynamic team. In this part-time and casual position, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and assisting customers with their optical needs. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced retail environment and be part of a growing, customer-focused organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service to all customers
  • Assisting customers with frame selection, lens recommendations and orders
  • Accurately measuring and fitting customers for glasses and contact lenses
  • Processing sales transactions and handling cash and payments
  • Maintaining a well-presented and organised retail space
  • Supporting the optometrists and other team members as required

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a customer service or retail role, preferably within the optical industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping customers
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to handle a variety of tasks and changing priorities
  • A team player with a positive and friendly attitude
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and processes
