Administrator - Retirement Living
At our core, RSL LifeCare provides compassionate care and services to veterans and seniors living in our communities or receiving support at home. For over 100 years, we have proudly supported veterans and their families, and our vision of creating proud communities living their best lives remains central to all we do.
Are you an experienced Administrator with a flair for desktop publishing and a passion for supporting older Australians and Veterans? We're looking for a proactive, organised, and creative individual to join our Retirement Living team at RSL Anzac Village ('War Vets') in Narrabeen.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll be supporting Village Management and the Activities and Lifestyle Coordinator, helping to deliver high-quality resident communications, coordinate events, and contribute to the wellbeing of our vibrant retirement community.
Part-time: 22 hours per week – across 4 days (flexibility offered for the right candidate)
A bit about what you'll be doing in your new role:
Providing high-level administrative support to Village Management
Creating engaging newsletters, flyers, and posters using Canva and other publishing tools
Supporting the coordination of resident activities and major events like Anzac Day and Remembrance Day
Assisting with inspections, documentation, and emergency management records
Collaborating with residents, families, and external providers
Occasionally accompanying residents on outings and trips
A team player with a great sense of humour and a professional approach
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Advanced computer literacy (MS Office, Canva, Publisher or similar Desktop Publishing)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Compassion, patience, and empathy for older people
A current Australian Driver's Licence
First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Benefits of working for RSL LifeCare:
Salary packaging benefits of up to $15,900 per year, helping you reduce taxable income through tax-free benefits like super contributions and car leasing (dependent on income level)
Staff discounts at over 700 retail stores via Maxxia Rewards
Leave loading (17.5% pay top-up on paid leave)
Fitness Passport
Opportunity to work alongside a passionate and supportive team dedicated to making a real difference
Flexible contract promoting a healthy work-life balance
Our commitment to diversity: We are proud to stand for our unique values: Do the Right Thing, Aim Higher, Care from the Heart, and Act as One team
We welcome and encourage applications from people across our diverse community, especially from Veterans, current serving ADF personnel, their families and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants. We believe everyone has the right to feel safe, respected, valued and heard regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity or disability.
It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role. Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
