Kitchen Hand – ZEN Japanese Restaurant

Location: Hawthorn, VIC (Just in front of Swinburne University)

Are you passionate about authentic Japanese cuisine and eager to learn the art of Japanese cooking? ZEN Japanese Restaurant, renowned for using quality ingredients to provide the best Japanese food in town, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join our team.

As the name "ZEN" represents, we are committed to offering an authentic and tranquil dining experience, serving the highest quality Japanese dishes to our valued customers.

Your Role

You will start by assisting our chefs and learning the basics of our kitchen operations, including:

  • Washing dishes and keeping the kitchen clean and organized.
  • Preparing vegetables and other ingredients.
  • Assisting in general kitchen prep for service.

As you gain confidence and proficiency, we will train you in more advanced skills such as:

  • Deep frying.
  • Pan cooking techniques.

  • Willingness to learn and grow within the team.
  • Prior kitchen experience is a bonus but not required.
