This critical role will play a key part in shaping Liberty Industrial's technical development pathways, supporting apprenticeships and graduate programs and ensuring our teams have the skills and knowledge to deliver industry-leading outcomes.

The successful candidate will be based in one of our offices in Sydney, Brisbane or Perth, with some travel required.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Identify and assess current and future training needs across the organisation, both for site-based and office-based teams.
  • Develop and implement technical training and career development pathways, including apprenticeships and graduate programs.
  • Partner with site teams to verify competencies and implement gap closure plans.
  • Build strong relationships with external training providers, Registered Training Organisations, and agencies to support skills development initiatives.
  • Champion innovative training solutions, including online learning and new technology adoption.
  • Lead the delivery of inductions, technical training, and development programs across Liberty Industrial's workforce.
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, driving continuous improvement.

About You

We are looking for someone with a passion for developing people and technical capability in heavy industry.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE).
  • Solid experience and proven track record in technical development within industrial, high-risk or highly technical environments.
  • Proven ability to own, manage and maintain a company-wide skills matrix.
  • Experience in developing online training content and e-learning modules.
  • Experience working with external training providers, RTOs, and managing apprenticeships/graduate programs.
  • Familiarity with modern training practices, online authoring tools, and learning management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • A motivated and driven approach, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • The ability to work effectively both in the detail and at higher strategic levels.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on delivery.
  • Previous experience in designing and delivering leadership development programs would be advantageous.

Why Join Us?

At Liberty Industrial, you'll be part of a high-performing team that values collaboration, innovation, and excellence. We offer:

  • The opportunity to shape and deliver workforce capability across large-scale, iconic projects.
  • A supportive environment where your expertise will directly impact career development pathways for our people.
  • Competitive remuneration and benefits.
  • Career growth in a business recognised as a leader in its field.
