This is a great opportunity to join a values-based, diverse who works with a niche essential community services organisation in a brand new L&D function, that is starting from scratch You will be working in a high calibre, supportive and collaborative HR environment, in an organisation where people, values, and communities come first. There is some significant investment into the broader HR function, including learning and development, that's aimed at improving workplace culture, increasing the quality & consistency of operations, and with the full intention of investing back into the organisation's people.
Reporting to a new L&D Manager, you will be working together, from ground zero, setting the agenda, and L&D frameworks and putting together a priority plan to design and deliver all workplace training programs from within a newly centralised HR team. There has been an amalgamation of various regions and this role will work from the corporate head office, to have holistic oversight and to work directly with the various blue-collar sites to support their leaders and business divisions to achieve the clearly stated HR, OD, culture & organisational objectives.
This role delivers and works operationally from the corporate office and on-site, across all L&D and workplace training, from the Business-as-Usual training such as systems, compliance, leadership, safety, process, and operations, as well as behavioural change programs, such as integrating learning and development into broader talent management, competency frameworks, and organisational change initiatives, building overall capability and career pathways, creating tools and resources that foster a learning-based environment for all.
You will be working in an end-to-end capacity, creating new programs from the concept stage; conducting training needs analysis; designing, facilitating, coaching, and setting evaluation of programs as key measures of success. You will deliver and support the L&D Manager on multiple projects whilst building relationships with key stakeholders at all levels. Managing external vendors and working in partnership with the broader HR team will be essential for achieving real value add outcomes. Programs will be both blended learning, on-site training, digital, and supported by an implementation of a new HRIS/LMS system.
To be successful in this exciting role you will have:
- Strong Learning & Development & Workplace Training experience across a range of programs in a white and multi-site blue-collar environment;
- A strong understanding of contemporary adult learning principles;
- Strong internal consulting skills with demonstrated experience in developing solutions that are outcome focused;
- Sophisticated facilitation and presentation skills, and an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation;
- Strong achievement orientation and the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders;
- Understanding and exposure to a diverse workforce;
- Degree qualification in adult education, psychology, business, or human resource management.
This is a full-time role but could offer flexibility to 4 days per week, or reduced equivalent hours across the week. The brand new Head Office is located out at Macquarie Park, however, there is weekly travel to the various sites around Sydney, so you must have access to transport with a current NSW Drivers License.
