About the Role

The Grounds Person plays a vital role in ensuring the school grounds and facilities are well-maintained, safe, and presentable. This hands-on position involves a variety of tasks including gardening, minor repairs, and general upkeep of outdoor and indoor areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain lawns, gardens, and outdoor spaces to a high standard.
  • Perform general repairs and maintenance across school facilities.
  • Ensure pathways, car parks, and play areas are clean and safe.
  • Assist with setting up for school events and activities.
  • Monitor and report any safety hazards or maintenance needs.
  • Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment.
About You
  • Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or general maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation.
  • Physically fit and capable of outdoor work in various conditions.
  • Friendly and respectful attitude, with a commitment to the school's Christian values.
  • Relevant qualifications or licenses (e.g. horticulture, WHS, machinery operation) are desirable but not essential.
