Role Summary:
A vital leadership position has become available in our Grounds department, as we seek a highly skilled and motivated individual to take on the role of Grounds Supervisor.
This exciting opportunity offers the chance to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and care of our grounds, gardens, and facilities.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of staff to maintain and care for the grounds, gardens, and plants at Australia Zoo and The Crocodile Hunter Lodge.
Key responsibilities will include mowing and whipper-snipper use, weeding, pruning, mulching, planting, and general gardening, as well as watering and irrigation maintenance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, applicants must have excellent presentation and communication skills, as well as a suitable level of fitness and wellbeing to perform duties outdoors.
Previous experience in grounds/maintenance is essential, along with the ability to operate machinery such as 4WDs and other vehicles.
A current Manual Driver's Licence and Q-fever Vaccination (or exemption) are also required.
