Senior ICT Procurement Officer
to lead high-value projects for our client in Brisbane southern suburbs

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the department's ICT landscape by leading complex procurement processes from start to finish. You'll be the go-to expert, providing strategic guidance to senior stakeholders and ensuring all procurement activities are ethical, transparent, and aligned with key objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end procurement processes for complex ICT projects.
  • Provide strategic procurement guidance to key stakeholders and steering committees.
  • Develop and manage procurement documentation, market research, and sourcing strategies.
  • Prepare and negotiate high-value ICT contracts, ensuring they align with departmental objectives.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with Queensland Procurement Policy and relevant legislation.
  • Represent procurement at program boards and contribute to high-level decision-making.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing complex ICT procurement within a government or large private sector environment.
  • A deep understanding of QITC/GITC and General Goods & Services frameworks.
  • Strong contract negotiation skills and a track record of successful stakeholder engagement.
  • High attention to detail, strategic thinking, and an outcome-focused approach.
  • Experience across a variety of ICT categories is highly desirable.
