We're looking for a marine maintenance specialist with strong diesel mechanic or marine engineering experience to join our team, maintaining our fleet of power vessels and sailing catamaran located in Hamilton Island and Shute Harbour.

About the Role
We're seeking an experienced marine maintenance professional to ensure our vessels are kept in top operational condition. This role is focused on maintaining, repairing, and optimising performance across our fleet – keeping our vessels safe, reliable, and presentation-ready.
The position is preferably based on Hamilton Island, with accommodation options available for the successful candidate. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a range of power vessels and sailing catamaran
- Conduct diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, marine systems, and ancillary equipment
- Carry out mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic maintenance (experience and certification dependent)
- Liaise with and schedule specialist contractors
- Support refits, upgrades, and project work
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
- Occasionally respond to critical maintenance issues outside standard operating hours
What We're Looking For
- Trade qualification as a diesel mechanic, marine engineer, or similar
- Minimum 5 years' experience in marine maintenance, marine engineering, or heavy diesel work
- Strong practical knowledge of diesel engines, mechanical, and marine systems
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Proactive, detail-focused approach with a strong work ethic
- Flexibility to respond to after-hours needs when required
