We're looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our premium Flagship venue in Chadstone. Industry Beans Chadstone offers an innovative all-day brunch and dining menu, all brought together under one roof with on-site coffee roasting, private dining, functions and a curated retail shop. Industry Beans Chadstone is a must-visit destination for the local community, tourists, food and coffee lovers alike.

The Role

Industry Beans is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to help us deliver a market-leading experience. We are looking for a hospitality professional who can demonstrate excellence in customer service and leadership. An individual who can raise the quality of our service standards, embrace the company's robust systems processes & lead the team with the support of the Restaurant Manager.

We place a strong emphasis on leading by example and the Assistant Restaurant Manager is key to supporting the Restaurant Manager in achieving this. The ability to oversee and coordinate all service functions in the restaurant, check-in with customers and manage the customer service experience is crucial to success in this role.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Work with the Restaurant Manager to lead the front of house team and deliver fantastic hospitality experience
  • Develop a positive team culture, consistent with the Industry Beans brand values
  • Establish and maintain the Industry Beans standard that all team members follow
  • Assist the Restaurant Manager to maintain quality, standards, safety and presentation of the entire site, including restaurant, kitchen, office, training, events and roastery areas.
  • Host functions with the support of the Marketing team
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and Restaurant Manager in identifying opportunities to grow sales and improve the customer experience

You'll be perfect for this role if you have:

  • A passion for specialty coffee and hospitality
  • At least three years' experience in a similar team leading role
  • Strong all-round FOH skills (service, waiting, functions & hosting)
  • A commitment to delivering the ultimate customer experience
  • A desire to develop new skills within a growing organisation offering exciting career opportunities
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication, customer service and leadership skills
  • A strong work ethic with ability to meet and surpass KPIs
  • An ability and enthusiasm to manage systems and software
  • RSA (required)
  • A current Food Safety Supervisor and First Aid Certificate (desirable)
  • Flexible availability, with ability to work on weekends
  • Availability to work throughout the holiday season
