Role: Deputy Director of Finance (Agencies)

Status: Full-time
The Role:
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will provide strategic leadership and operational management across a broad portfolio including budgeting, financial and statutory reporting, treasury and investments, insurances, and finance and payments systems for the Archdiocese and its agencies. You will also support ICT oversight and play a key role on key committees and boards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage a highly motivated team (4 direct reports).
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, long-term financial plans and reports.
- Oversee insurance programs and long-term investment fund.
- Lead digitisation and automation of finance systems and business case development.
- Ensure compliance with ACNC/ASIC, tax and regulatory obligations.
- Provide financial and strategic advice to committees and boards.
- Support the Director of Finance in leadership of the Finance and ICT functions.
About You:
- CPA or CA qualified with 10+ years' senior finance experience.
- Strong expertise in financial management, reporting and governance in NFP/charity sector.
- Proven experience managing insurances, investments, and financial systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Commitment to the mission and values of the Catholic Church.
