· Paid 28-week recruit training at the WA Police Academy
· Upon graduation, appointment as a Probationary Constable with an 18 month on the job development phase to build your policing skills, and leading to a Diploma in Policing

Responsibilities and Duties
As a police officer with the WA Police Force, you will:
· Respond to emergency and non-emergency incidents
· Enforce laws, maintain public order and safety
· Protect life and property
· Prevent, detect and prosecute crime
· Conduct investigations, gather evidence and prepare case files
· Engage with diverse communities to build trust and visibility
· Participate in patrols, traffic duties and crime prevention initiatives
· Maintain accurate reports and records
· Support victims and ensure high standards of service delivery
Requirements
To be eligible to apply you must:
· Be at least 17 years and 6 months old
· Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
· Hold a current Manual "C" or Automatic "C-A" class Driver's licence with no more than eight demerit points
o A provisional licence is acceptable if you have no more than two demerit points in the first year and five demerit points in the second year
