About the role
As the Senior Rostering Officer (known internally as the Senior Program Assistant), you will be part of a team making a difference in the lives of children and young people who have experienced complex trauma. You will support the out of home care team to recruit, train and schedule staff carers to deliver high quality, therapeutic and child focused services while providing direct leadership to our rostering team in a way that optimises operational performance.
This is a permanent full-time role, based in the Perth CBD.
About you
We are seeking a highly organised, and motivated team member who can:
- Support leadership of operational team practices and rostering across multiple placements, ensuring high quality and sustainable service deliverables to the children/young people in Uniting's care.
- Lead the Program Assistant team in working collaboratively and efficiently to ensure therapeutic care is delivered.
- Deliver on all care arrangements to meet the 'Better Care Better Services' standards monitoring contractual requirements alongside our wider teams.
- Provide regular schedule performance updates, analysis and advice to the Leads including foreseeing gaps in service provision and staffing.
- Plan, monitor, and analyse all activities across the service and ensuring this is in line with budgets (rosters) and supportive to children/young people and team.
You must be able to obtain a current National Police Clearance and Working With Children certificate. It is also essential to have a current WA 'C Class 'driver's licence.
A requirement of the role is to satisfy The Department of Communities Record Check Consent Application (RCCA) to support undertaking a Police History Check for workers who have been identified for a role within Non-Government agencies that work with children in the care of the CEO. This check will be completed as the role may require you to provide indirect or incidental support in a young person's home where you may be needed to induct a staff carer.
