About Us
MG Civil Australia is a dynamic Sydney based civil construction company specialising in industrial, residential, roadworks, infrastructure and urban development projects. We are entering our next phase of growth and want a Senior Estimator who will be a genuine partner in shaping that future. We are looking for someone who owns the estimating process and adds capability to our already strong tender and delivery process.

Role responsibilities
- Lead and prepare detailed tender submissions across a range of civil construction projects including pavements, earthworks, drainage, concrete and urban infrastructure.
- Complete quantity take offs, cost estimating, first principle breakdowns and manage subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Analyse tender documents and specifications. Work with project teams, engineers and other stakeholders to fully understand scope and risk.
- Contribute to methodology, programming input and commercial risk assessments to shape each bid.
- Work with senior management to continually improve estimating systems and processes.
- Mentor junior estimators and help lift internal standards.
- Ensure every bid is competitive, buildable and aligned with our delivery strengths.
What you bring
- Minimum 5 years estimating experience in civil construction within Australia.
- Strong background in pavements, earthworks, drainage or general civil infrastructure.
- Proven ability to produce high quality, competitive tenders for local government, private clients or major builders/contractors.
- Excellent understanding of civil construction methods, materials and cost structures.
- Strong analytical, numerical and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and lead others as the team grows.
- Engineering or construction related qualifications are an advantage but experience is more important.
