Are you passionate about precision, excellence, and continuous improvement? We're seeking a Quality Inspector to join our Bankstown facility.

In this pivotal role, you'll champion quality across every stage of production- ensuring they meet the needs of key stakeholders, support manufacturing and management teams and the workforce in the application and compliance of the Quality Management System (QMS), as well as drive a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Snapshot of the role:

  • Establish inspection & quality processes, procedures and documentation as part of the QMS
  • Inspect components and non-conformances as required by QMS documentation
  • Release of product, issuing certificates
  • Verify that the correct manufacturing data and equipment has been used, including drawings, processes and other controlling documents and that records are complete
  • Verification materials having a finite life have been used within the allowable out life
  • Handling day to day quality issues – drive quality issues through root cause, corrective actions and improvement / investigations
  • Handling of Non-conforming products – coordinate all on hold activities ensure no escapes to customer when quality issues raised / line purge containment.
  • Work with Production engineering for effective evaluation of non-conforming product to ensure appropriate disposition
  • Involvement in problem analysis and problem solving
  • Control of calibration equipment per the QMS recall system
  • All other duties and responsibilities as appropriate

What we are looking for:

  • A minimum 3 years post qualification ideal in an aerospace, manufacturing and /or defence related industry
  • At least 1 year experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment
