Welding Inspector (Full Time)
Role:
Jones Welding Solutions are recruiting for a Welding Inspector. We have a long-term contract for ongoing maintenance and shutdown works servicing South 32 refinery in the Southwest region.
As a Welding Inspector, you will actively provide leadership and guidance to the JWS team, ensuring we are operating in compliance with the welding specification, standards, and welding codes
Sportsman Roster: 5on 5off / 4on 4off
12-hour shifts
Dayshift only
Immediate start required
The successful applicant will have:
Valid Driving License
Trade qualification in welding or fabrication
Working at Heights (within 2 years)
Confined Space (within 2 years)
Construction Induction Card (White or Blue card)
Certification as a welding inspector (CSWIP 3.1 / IWI-B)
Knowledge and understanding of the foundations of welding processes
Ability to read complex technical drawings
3 year's experience in a similar role
Ability to pass a pre-employment and site medical testing
Key Responsibilities include:
Supervising welding processes on the shop floor
Carry out Daily Inspection Audits to ensure all items on the audit document are recorded, controlled, and managed as required by the QMS
Assuring site compliance with the relevant quality standards
Reviewing welding quality documents
Training the welders on the job, making sure good practices are followed
Maintaining of current and updating of welder qualification including new qualifications as required by upcoming planned work scopes
Physically oversee the receipt of materials to ensure they correspond with the paperwork and certificates received and collate material deliveries with QA Administrator
Assist with the maintenance and continual improvement of the current welding managements systems
Development of all welding traceability documentation and drawings
Maintaining weld procedures and documents
