Mental Health Support Worker, Blacktown LGA NSW

Care With Excellence is seeking a proactive and energetic MALE MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT WORKER (Male ONLY) to work in Blacktown LGA NSW.

It will be the role of the MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT WORKER to support our clients personal care, meal preparation, daily living tasks, independent skill building and with community/social outings.

Duties involved.

  • Assistance with meal preparation, light household duties and some personal care.
  • Assist client to and from local hospital appointments.
  • Assist client with community access, which may include fortnightly trips to Newcastle.

License and Certification

  • Relevant Qualification
  • Current Drivers License
  • CPR & First Aid Certification
  • Working with Children Check for Employer (Preferred)
  • National Police Clearance Certificate
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID - 19 (With evidence of booster or evidence of booking confirmation).

Essential Criteria

  • Ensures a person - centered approach that empowers the independence and choice of the participant.
  • Must be a reliable, punctual and dedicated individual looking for potential long term commitment.
  • Cert III in Community Services, Aged Care, Disability (Or equivalent)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Previous experience as a Disability OR Mental Health Support Worker (+6 months preferred)
  • Registered vehicle and proof of insurance.
  • Right to work in Australia
  • Access to a smart phone.
