The Drug & Alcohol Service is seeking a Clinical Psychologist or Neuropsychologist to join its Assertive Community Management Team. This role involves delivering specialist care to patients with complex cognitive and behavioral challenges that affect diagnosis and require tailored interventions. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting neuropsychological assessments, preparing clinical reports, managing cases, offering evidence-based treatment recommendations, and formulating comprehensive management plans to support recovery and long-term wellbeing.

What you will bring to the role

  • Master or Doctor of Clinical Neuropsychology or Clinical Psychology. AHPRA registration with endorsement or working towards endorsement to practice as a Clinical Neuropsychologist or Clinical Psychologist is required.
  • Experience in performing neuropsychological assessments, treatment planning, report writing (including NDIS) and providing clinical feedback.
  • Experience working collaboratively with members of a multidisciplinary team and demonstrated skills in case management of clients with complex issues.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in the assessment and diagnosis of neuropsychological syndromes in a drug and alcohol setting with complex comorbidities.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in drug and alcohol assessments, treatment planning, cognitive rehabilitation and a willingness to apply these within the role.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience working with a diverse range of patients with complex presentations, including neurological disorders, drug and alcohol, psychiatric and/or other medical conditions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working and partnering with Aboriginal patients, families and communities as well as improving the health outcomes for socially disadvantaged groups of patients within the local community.
  • Current driver's license and willingness to use for work purposes.
