The role
Reporting to the Vice President External Affairs Global, Dyno Nobel is seeking a highly skilled and strategic External Affairs & Stakeholder Engagement professional to lead the implementation of its Stakeholder Management Strategic Plan across multiple geographies. This role requires strong advisory and influencing capabilities, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and a deep understanding of media relations and issues management.

The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgement, commercial acumen, and a strong grasp of both the business and political landscape. With a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to think critically and strategically, they will navigate complex stakeholder environments and deliver integrated engagement strategies. Relationship-building will be key, as the role involves close collaboration with senior executives, government bodies, and industry associations, as well as alignment with Communications and Investor Relations to ensure consistent corporate messaging.

Role Responsibilities

  • High level of interpersonal and relationship building skills with external stakeholders across Government and industry, and senior leaders within the organisation especially with the ELT and ELT+1 leaders
  • Knowledge of Government policy and decision-making processes
  • Capability to quickly build trust and rapport with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Adaptable and resilient with an agile approach and mindset
  • Strategic and critical thinking with a focus on solutions and outcomes
  • Advanced written and presentation communication skills
