About the role
This position operates within the AOD Cluster which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of people who are considered homeless or use drugs and/or alcohol.
The AOD Counselling and Recovery Clinician provides access to relevant psycho-social and mental health supports through the delivery of recovery-oriented, evidence based and therapeutic counselling interventions. While primarily based in Collingwood, this role may involve working across other locations in metro Melbourne as needed.

Your duties include:
- Complete comprehensive AOD Assessments with clients using the DFFH Comprehensive AOD Assessment Tool
- Provide recovery-oriented, evidence-based and therapeutic brief intervention and counselling services to individuals
- Ensure all reporting, case notes, data management and other administrative duties are completed accurately and confidentially
- Provide service and access support to relevant stakeholders

Our ideal candidate:
- Tertiary qualifications in Counselling, Social Work or similar, with minimum two years demonstrated experience
- Ability to complete Comprehensive AOD Assessments with clients
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong belief and personal alignment in cohealth Values and Mission
