We're currently on the hunt for an Administrative Support Officer to join our HR team in our Annerley office, South Brisbane. This is a maximum-term position to cover parental leave until October 2026, offering a great opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team while gaining valuable experience in a supportive environment. As the Administrative Support Officer, you'll play a key role in supporting the HR team and wider organisation by providing high quality HR administrative assistance. Working collaboratively with other members of the HR team, leadership, and staff, you'll help ensure smooth day-to-day operations and contribute to a positive employee experience. This role is suitable for someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset or a recent Human Resources graduate looking to start their career in HR seeking an opportunity to broaden their HR skillset and have the opportunity to advance in the HR field.
Your day may look like:
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources team including data-entry and correspondence creation with efficiency, attention to detail, care and confidentiality.
- Support the review and development of internal team procedures, including editing and formatting documents.
- Maintain employee records, HR information systems and databases to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Under the supervision senior team members, coordinate recruitment and onboarding administration, including but not limited to assisting in the posting and development of job advertisements, preparing offer letters and contracts, and conducting pre-employment compliance checks.
- Exercise judgement, initiative, critical knowledge and skill in improving processes related to the role.
You will need:
- Proven ability to provide administrative support with a high degree of judgement, initiative, confidentiality, sensitivity and ethical values.
- Ability to meet deadlines, establish work priorities and work as an efficient team member.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to organise the role tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to perform well in a fast-paced office position with a broad role and competing priorities.
