The Role

The 
Quality Assurance Officer

will support the QA/QC Manager to ensure raw materials, production processes, and finished goods meet Soap Solutions' quality standards. This role is key to maintaining compliance with our Quality Management System (QMS) and regulatory requirements, while driving continuous improvement across production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor compounding and production lines (bar and liquid soaps) to ensure specifications are met.
  • Inspect and approve incoming raw materials and packaging against standards and specifications.
  • Conduct in-process and finished goods checks, including labelling, weights, and batch coding.
  • Maintain accurate QA/QC records, production logs, and product information sheets.
  • Support testing activities, including microbiological and stability testing.
  • Assist in investigations for deviations, customer complaints, and non-conformance reports.
  • Support internal and external audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, R&D, Laboratory, and Management teams.

About You

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year experience in QA or manufacturing (FMCG/cosmetics experience highly regarded).
  • Degree in Science/Technology is desirable but not essential.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality standards (training provided if required).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow SOPs.
  • Confident using basic computer systems (Excel/Word or ERP/MRP software).
  • Good numeracy and measurement skills.
  • Organisational and problem-solving skills with a practical mindset.
  • Clear communicator, able to work effectively across teams.
