Travel to Remote Locations

As part of this role, you may be required to travel to support training delivery in remote and regional areas. High-demand locations include Townsville, Cairns, Thursday Island, and Mount Isa. These placements offer a unique opportunity to make a real difference in communities where skilled health professionals are urgently needed. Travel allowances and additional incentives may apply for these locations.

Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements

a. You will need to have one or more of the below Vocational competencies to be considered:

• First Aid - HLTAID009, HLTAID011, HLTAID012, HLTAID013, HLTAID014, HLTAID015, UETDRRF004
• HLT23221 Cert II Health Support Services
• HLT33115 Cert III Health Services Assistant
• CHC33021 Cert III Individual Support (Ageing / Disability)
• HLT33021 Cert III Allied Health Assistant
• HLT43021 Cert IV Allied Health Assistant
• HLT37315 Cert III Health Administration
• HLT47321 Cert IV Health Administration
• HLT57715  Diploma of Practice Management
• HLT54121  Diploma of Nursing
• be an Enrolled Nursing or Registered Nurse, or Allied Health Professional

b. Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials:

• TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
• TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
• TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
• TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or its successor; or
• TAE50111 TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or
• TAE50211 or TAE Diploma of Training Design and Development; or
• A secondary teaching qualification and one of the following credentials:

i. TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor; or

ii. TAESS00011 or TAESS00019 Assessor Skills Set or its successor; or

• Higher level qualification in adult or vocational education (approved by TAFE Queensland)

c.  Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;

d. Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;

e. Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.
