Description

The Northern Australian Conference is seeking a dedicated Teacher Aide to join our team in Cairns. This position falls under the department of Teachers and is categorised under Education as a Fixed-Term Term-Time role. As a Teacher Aide, you will play a crucial role in supporting the teaching staff and providing assistance to students. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with the classroom teacher to support educational activities
  • Assisting with the preparation of teaching materials and resources
  • Providing one-on-one support to students who require additional help
  • Supervising students during class activities and outings
  • Supporting students with special educational needs or disabilities
  • Assisting with administrative tasks related to student records and documentation
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students at all times
  • Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Experience working in an educational setting or with children is desirable.
