Based in Canberra, we are a major federal program delivering high resilience cloud capability across protected environments. We are seeking to appoint a talented Senior Cloud Engineer with strong automation and AWS experience to join our specialised team. Operating at national scale, we design and deliver secure, resilient and cost efficient cloud solutions that support mission critical operations across the defence sector.

WHO ARE WE?

We are a rapidly expanding federal program with long term investment and ongoing multi year delivery. The team consists of architects, cloud engineers, cyber specialists and automation experts working across protected environments. Our work underpins secure platforms, mission systems and national capability. We design and deliver cloud based and cloud enabled solutions that simplify, consolidate and strengthen critical services across defence.

We are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer with strong cloud automation knowledge to join our high performing team.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Immersing yourself as a key member of our cloud engineering function, you will use your automation and cloud expertise to deliver scalable, secure solutions across protected environments. You will collaborate with architects, cyber teams and platform specialists to uplift automation, improve platform efficiency and enhance resilience.

You will assess existing processes to identify automation opportunities, execute scripted testing across systems and networks, validate automated methods, build automated QA checks, detect quality gaps, and deploy automation solutions across complex cloud platforms. You will also oversee cloud environments and enforce strong data security practices within defence grade constraints.

WE NEED YOU TO HAVE…..


• Cloud automation / AWS / IaC / DevOps


• Strong proficiency in the SDLC


• Extensive commercial experience in secure or regulated environments


• Strong communication, problem solving and stakeholder engagement skills


• Desire to continuously improve processes and uplift capability

IT IS NICE TO HAVE…..


• Defence sector experience


• Experience with high resilience systems


• Broader automation tooling exposure or security based knowledge
