Our client is a Not for Profit organisation and are looking to do some project based work around AWS in particular. They are looking for AWS Cloud Engineers to join the team and focus on project based work.

This is an initial 6 month contract, starting in December with an extension thereafter. Located in Phillip, ACT with parking onsite it will be 5 days in the office with some flexibility. Competitive daily rate.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply security controls and configurations in line with AWS best practices and the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of container services into the AWS environment.
  • Design, implement, validate, and support container migration workflows using AWS services.
  • Collaborate with cloud, platforms, application support, and security teams to align cloud infrastructure and operations
  • Develop and maintain automation pipelines for infrastructure provisioning and application deployment.
  • Implement and maintain operational processes for patching, logging, monitoring, backups, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Assist with investigation and troubleshooting of services deployed on-premise and AWS.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with container services: AWS (ECR, ECS, EKS, Fargate) and on-premises (Red Hat OpenShift).
  • Hands-on expertise with Amazon Inspector, and Patch Manager.
  • Solid understanding of AWS networking architecture and security controls.
  • Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework, secure cloud design principles and operational best practices.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in DevOps practices, including:
  • Source code control, versioning, and release management
  • CI/CD pipeline development and automation.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Monitoring, logging, and performance tuning of cloud-native applications.
